At home and in theaters, here's what's new to watch this week starting with a few of the highlights that stood out to us.
Set in a futuristic past where robots have been banished to an island, with her own robot in tow, orphaned teenager Michelle is traveling across the country trying to find her brother. They team up with a drifter and his bot in search of the boy.. When meeting up with other cast-off machines, bots and humans decide work together to take down a system that’s divided them. Woody Harrelson, Chris Pratt, and Millie Brown star in The Electric State, streaming on Netflix March 14th.
Ray and Manny, who have been lifelong friends, have been posing as DEA agents to “bust” and rob small town drug dealers. Seems like the perfect set-up…until one big mistake puts, not only their lives, but the lives of the people they love in danger. Now, they are being hunted by a huge narcotics enterprise. Wagner Moura and Brian Tyree Henry star in Dope Thief, streaming on Apple TV March 14th.
Nathan seems like an average guy with an average job. However, when the girl of his dreams is taken hostage during a bank robbery, Nathan uses his sort of super power to try to rescue her. Nate’s inability to feel pain gives him an advantage over the thieves. Jack Quaid stars in Novocaine, in theaters March 15th.
