DRIFTING APART IS A BIG REASON FOR DIVORCES
Divorcing couples most commonly blame “drifting apart” as the biggest factor behind their split. The next most significant factor was infidelity, an issue for 30 percent of the 546 divorcees surveyed. Other reasons included financial worries (27%) and lack of sex (27%). In addition, 22 percent said work pressures played a part, 13 percent cited “different political and moral values”, and 12 percent blamed the pressures of raising children. Post-2020 election surveys revealed 24 percent of married individuals experienced increased political arguments.
