A new survey of couples who have been married for ten years or more reveals many would opt for a smaller wedding and less formal reception if they could do it over again. In the survey, 28 percent of couples wish they had a smaller guest list to reduce stress and cost. 18 percent would choose a more relaxed or unique venue, like a backyard garden, or outdoor location. 6 percent said they’d opt for a less formal reception — such as a barbecue, cocktail party, or brunch — instead of a traditional sit-down dinner. 36 percent said they would spend less.
