Lawton Food Bank Welcomes New Executive Director, Alex Minter-McCann

The Lawton Food Bank is proud to announce the appointment of Alex Minter-McCann as its new Executive Director. Minter-McCann brings with her a strong background in nonprofit leadership and a deep commitment to community empowerment.

Before joining the Lawton Food Bank, Minter-McCann served as the Success By 6 Family Empowerment Director for United Way of Southwest Oklahoma. In that role, she spearheaded initiatives focused on early childhood education, family engagement, and community development, earning a reputation as a passionate and innovative leader.

“I am honored to lead the Lawton Food Bank into its next chapter,” said Minter-McCann. “I am committed to bringing energy, vision, and leadership to the organization and am excited for what we’ll accomplish together in the fight against hunger.”

Caroline Fox, President of the Lawton Food Bank Board of Directors, expressed enthusiasm about the new appointment. “Alex’s passion for our organization and our mission—combined with her proven leadership in the nonprofit sector and dedication to community impact— deeply impressed us throughout the interview process,” said Fox. “We believe her vision and experience are an ideal match for our mission to fight hunger and serve our community with dignity and compassion.”

The Lawton Food Bank has served Southwest Oklahoma for 40 years, providing food assistance to thousands of individuals and families each year. With Minter-McCann at the helm, the organization looks forward to expanding its reach and impact, further strengthening its commitment to addressing food insecurity with empathy and innovation.
