MTV's "Ridiculousness" Bids Farewell: The End of an Era in Laughs!

In a surprise announcement, MTV has officially canceled the beloved show “Ridiculousness” after a whopping 14-year run. Fans of the series, which became a staple in late-night TV, will have to say goodbye to the antics of Rob Dyrdek, Steelo Brim, and Lauren “Lolo” Wood. The network has confirmed that the current season will be its last, leaving viewers wondering what could fill the comedic void. Seriously, where else are we going to find endless viral fail videos and celebrity reactions?

What’s even more shocking is that new episodes are no longer in the pipeline, though previously recorded shows will continue to air until 2026. Talk about a way to kick fans while they’re down! The cancellation comes shortly after the recent Paramount Skydance merger, which has shaken up the company—can we just say “bad timing”? While fans are trying to process the news, they’ll at least get to enjoy a bit more of what made the show great: endless clips of people falling off skateboards.

As we wave goodbye to a major MTV era, it’s hard not to feel nostalgic. “Ridiculousness” was like the comfort food of late-night TV—the predictable laughter amidst a sea of reality television chaos. Don’t you think it’s time for a new show to rise and capture the laughs? What are your thoughts on its cancellation?
