Switchfoot finally did it. The GRAMMY-winning rock band made their Grand Ole Opry debut on July 23, and they brought country superstar Lainey Wilson along for the ride. The surprise duet on their new track “Beautiful Life” had the crowd on their feet. They also performed fan favorites “Dare You To Move” and “Only Hope” for a three-song set that earned a standing ovation.
Jon Foreman got emotional about the milestone, sharing how he used to be a broke kid couch surfing around Nashville. “To be the kid who is couch surfing around Nashville…and to be playing one of those songs years and years later, is a dream come true,” he said. The band is celebrating the release of their new album “Forever Now” and preparing for a massive fall tour.
Switchfoot will kick off their Forever Now Tour with Anberlin on September 16, hitting 39 cities and wrapping up with a Nashville date on October 7.
