The stats behind the run are wild. In the tracking week of Sept. 4 to 10, “Choosin’ Texas” pulled 24 million streams, 56.9 million radio audience impressions, and 6,000 sales in the U.S. It also tops Hot Country Songs for a 40th week, only the third song ever to hit that number. Country songs currently hold three of the top four spots on the Hot 100, so this isn’t an isolated win.
Elsewhere on the chart, Karol G’s “BbY WOW” with Judeline and rusowsky jumped 16-10, giving her a second Hot 100 top 10. The big question now is December, when Mariah’s holiday classic typically returns to No. 1. If it does, she takes the record back outright. Do you think Ella Langley holds her off?
