HEAVEN ON EARTH: CEREAL MARSHMALLOWS IN BULK

If someone in your household eats all the tasty marshmallow bits out of the Lucky Charms box, leaving you with the cardboard-like cereal, here’s how you get even. Amazon sells a 3 pound bag of dehydrated marshmallows for $30. Reviewers note they taste pretty much the same as the ones that come in the Lucky Charms box, and you can shovel these in by the fistful without the silly cereal taking up space.

The last normal day...

April 18th, 1995 was the last normal day for many in Oklahoma City. The last normal day to wake up with your alarm. The last normal day to get your kids ready for school. And for many in Oklahoma City, the last normal day to feel safe and removed from homegrown terror. If you worked at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building downtown, it was likely your last day working there. At 9:02 a.m. April 19, 1995, a domestic terrorist drove a truck-bomb up to the front of the  building and detonated it killing at least 168 people, injuring more than 680 others, and destroying more than one-third of the building, the rest of which had to be demolished. The blast destroyed or damaged 324 other buildings within a 16-block radius, shattered glass in 258 nearby buildings, and destroyed 86 cars, causing an estimated $652 million worth of damage.

Taylor Swift's New Album Leak: Beyond Joe Alwyn to Matty Healy References Unveiled

It appears that Taylor Swift’s eagerly awaited new album has made its way onto the internet sooner than anticipated, sparking widespread speculation among her fan base. According to sources, the album, which was highly anticipated to delve into Taylor Swift’s relationship with Joe Alwyn, instead featured unexpected lyrical nods to Matty Healy. This twist has caught Swift’s followers off guard, as Matty Healy’s mention in her songs was not something they were betting on.

The leak supposedly happened through a Google Drive link that has been making rounds across various social platforms and fan forums. Given Taylor Swift’s tight grip on her unreleased works and her fans’ loyalty, the leak stands as a significant breach, throwing a curveball into the narrative everyone thought they had figured out. While the authenticity of the leaked album is still up for debate, it’s clear that if these Matty Healy references are legit, Swifties have a whole new layer of lyrics to dissect. As for the person who leaked the album? Well, they might want to prepare for an onslaught of Swiftian detective work — unless, of course, Taylor herself has orchestrated the most Swiftian plot twist of all.

Men with bards are dirty.

A study (a few years ago) found that men with beards carry more germs than dogs in their facial fuzz. Researchers discovered that nearly half of all sampled beards hosted bugs dangerous to human health. The study described dogs as ‘cleaner’ than bearded men.

Katy Perry's wardrobe oopsy on American Idol

In a live broadcast of ‘American Idol,’ Katy Perry faced an unexpected wardrobe malfunction when her metal top gave way, leaving the pop sensation in a bit of a bind. The incident quickly caught the attention of her fellow judges and the live audience, sparking a mix of concern and amusement on the set. Luke Bryan, co-judge and country music star, sprang into action in an attempt to alleviate the situation, showcasing quick thinking and teamwork on live television.

Lionel Richie, another co-judge on the panel, couldn’t help but add a touch of humor to the moment. He joked that this unexpected event would likely cause the show’s ratings to soar, lightening the mood amidst the unexpected wardrobe crisis. While live TV is no stranger to unforeseen incidents, the judges’ camaraderie and quick reactions made for a memorable ‘American Idol’ moment – one that, thanks to Lionel Richie’s witty prediction, might just end up boosting viewer numbers.

Slow internet?

Slow internet is frustrating, and the average user probably assumes it’s that way because of too many devices, or some interference, or because of your location in your home or at work. But some people think slow internet is caused by… traffic? In a survey of why people think their internet or WiFi is slow, most people blame the weather, thick walls, electric appliances, or the time of day (more people using it at the same time each day). But the survey also found that some believe their internet speed is affected by a “government slowdown,” the presence of humans in the space, or traffic… the kind on our city streets and interstates.

Here are a few highlights that stood out to us this week. Scroll down to see the full list across platforms.

Do you ever hear a song and it completely takes you back to a time where that song meant something? You are back in that moment…just because of the song. This is what happens to Harriet, except in these moments, she is REALLY taken back in time. And she’s using this to try to save her boyfriend after he dies in a car crash they both experienced. A love story about the relationship between music and romance. Lucy Boynton and Justin Min star in The Greatest Hits, streaming on Hulu April 12th.

Based on Pulitzer Prize winner Stacy Schiff’s book, “A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France and the Birth of America,” we go on a journey of Ben Franklin’s career. In December of 1776 Franklin was famous for his electrical experiments. Suddenly, his passion and power are tested when the American Independence is poked. Now, Franklin must embark on a secret mission to France. Michael Douglas stars as Franklin, streaming on Apple TV April 12th.

This true story is full of emotion and inspiration. When JB Pena was told he couldn’t play on a golf course because he was Mexican, EVEN THOUGH he served for the United States, he set out to change the world of golf. Pena started the San Felipe Mustangs, a high school golf team, consisting of 5 Mexican youths. Despite prejudice and obstacles they never thought they’d encounter, these boys proved you don’t have to have stature and wealth to be champions. Jay Hernandez and Dennis Quaid star in The Long Game, in theaters April 12th.

Men prefer video games over the spouse.

Men would rather play a new computer game than spend a night of passion with their significants. A survey of over 1,000 men found that a whopping 72 percent said they would give up a night with the wife to play a new game. Even when only talking about games they already owned and had played before 32 percent still opted for the video game console.

"Surprise Disses and Deluxe Drops: J. Cole, Vampire Weekend, and Doja Cat Stir the Music Scene"

Billboard’s Friday Music Guide highlights the week’s essential new music releases, sparking conversations and dominating playlists. This week features a mix of surprise releases, reflections on growth, and deluxe editions adding more heat to successful projects. J. Cole returns with “Might Delete Later,” where he notably responds to Kendrick Lamar’s disses, showcasing his prowess alongside inspired collaborations including Gucci Mane, Ari Lennox, and Young Dro. “7 Minute Drill” is the standout track where Cole takes aim, making it the focal point of discussions around the release.

Meanwhile, Vampire Weekend’s “Only God Was Above Us” serves as a mature reflection of the band’s journey, capturing a mix of what made them great and how they’ve evolved. It’s seen as a thoughtful nod to their earlier works while incorporating lessons from their 2019 release, “Father of the Bride.” Doja Cat’s “Scarlet 2 CLAUDE” expands her Scarlet era with seven additional tracks that blend futuristic pop with rap, showcasing tracks like “MASC” and “URRRGE!!!!!!!!!” with A$AP Rocky. The music world buzzes for these artists, who keep fans on their toes – whether through savvy clapbacks, graceful maturation, or by simply adding more fire to the flame of their already successful projects.

His moving and prophetic words on behalf of Memphis sanitation workers would echo through history, uplifting and inspiring generations to come. Taylor Swift Joins Billionaires Club: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Her Financial Triumph

In a remarkable financial milestone, Taylor Swift, at 34 years old, has officially joined the ranks of billionaires. Forbes, the authority on wealth and business success, made the announcement on April 2, underscoring the global pop sensation’s significant achievement. Swift’s inclusion in the billionaires’ club comes on the heels of her Eras Tour’s extraordinary success. This tour, spanning five continents, broke records by being the first to generate over $1 billion in revenue, setting a new precedent in the music industry.

This groundbreaking accomplishment has led Forbes to dub Taylor Swift “the most famous newcomer” to its list of billionaires. Such an accolade not only highlights Swift’s prowess and popularity as a music artist but also cements her status as a financial powerhouse. Her entry into the billionaire’s circle is a testament to her unmatched impact on the entertainment landscape. While Swifties worldwide might have once penned lyrics about daydreams and heartbreaks, they’re now just as likely to be scribbling down financial strategies, inspired by their idol’s latest achievement.

Billie Eilish Shifts Critique from Taylor Swift to Collective Climate Responsibility in Music Industry

In a recent development, Billie Eilish has taken a step back from her previous indirect criticisms of Taylor Swift, which were initially aimed at the environmental consequences of releasing numerous vinyl editions of albums. Eilish’s original comments sparked a discussion about the ecological impact of such practices within the music industry. However, she has now expanded her viewpoint in a new message shared on Sunday, implying that the issue is much broader than any single artist’s actions.

Eilish’s recalibration of her stance highlights a collective responsibility amongst artists and the music industry to tackle the challenge of climate change. Instead of pointing fingers at individual acts, like Swift’s multi-version vinyl releases, Eilish acknowledges her participation in industry standards that may not always align with environmental sustainability. This shift in the conversation invites a broader dialogue on how the music industry can evolve to minimize its carbon footprint without singling out specific individuals. It’s a reminder that when it comes to saving the planet, the phrase “We’re all in this together” has never rung more true—except maybe in a High School Musical anthem.
